Show Annual Educational Fair Will Offer Varied Demonstrations and Exhibits The second annual Educational Fair to be held at College of Southern Utah on Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17, promises to be an outstanding success with many interesting exhibits and demonstrations. The varied var-ied program will undoubtedly provide much enjoyment and entertainment to visiting students, teachers and citizens citi-zens of the southern Utah area. The fair will open at noon Friday, with most of the activities centered in the fieldhouse, and will continue until Saturday noon, with the annual Vocational Day contests scheduled for Saturday. The exhibits will feature phases of education and research carried on at the college with something interesting provided for students, teachers and citizens citi-zens in practically every field of endeavor. Special outside features will be the Cedar City Art Exhibit and films and demonstrations on the field of atomic energy. The 14th annual Spring Art Exhibit, attracting the finest talent tal-ent in the world of art, will be held in the fieldhouse duiing the last two weeks of April, and will be opened two days early in order or-der that visitors to the fair might enjoy the exhibit. An abundance of films, demonstrations demon-strations and exhibits on many phases of the field of atomic energy en-ergy will be available and will be shown and illustrated throughout the two-day event. Continuous demonstrations and displays of children's creative activities ac-tivities in the elementary schools will again be presented under the direction of the education department. de-partment. An added feature this year will be the builders program at C S U. For the past 21 years a building program has been carried on for the training of students in the fcuildmg trades. Ten homes and a number of other buildings have been erected under the program and many students trained In the field. Qualified guides will be on hand to conduct con-duct visitors through the building. build-ing. The home economics department depart-ment will feature "what to serve on what occasion," and will have continuous displays of various table settings, complete with model mo-del menus fully prepared. Dem. onstrations of the latest home appliances will also be featured. The business department will feature office machine demonstrations, demon-strations, showing the latest In business office equipment. A most interesting biological science exhibit will be displayed throughout the two days, featuring featur-ing a theme of "The Progress of Life." The forestry and wildlife department de-partment is planning several displays dis-plays consisting of pictures, charts and actual plants. A display of craftsmanship projects of high school students from all over southern Utah and eastern Nevada will be centered In the f ieldhouse. Livestock and crop judging judg-ing will be conducted on the campus and at the valley farm, and the students will also be shown the results of breeding experiments ex-periments that have been underway under-way for some time. Industrial arts contests and exhibits ex-hibits will be centered in the college 'shops.
