Show i Bronco Baseball Team Meets Carbon Today The College of Southern Utah baseball team will open its conference con-ference schedule at 3 p. m. today (Thursday), entertaining the Carbon Eagles from Price in the first southern division I C A C game of the season. The game will be played on the city diamond dia-mond east of town. The Broncos were scheduled to meet the Snow Badgers in Cedar Ce-dar City Friday, but this game has been postponed, the Badgers asking for a postponement in order or-der that they might remain in Ephraim for the dedication of the new Snow College auditorium auditor-ium this week end. Coach Cleo Petty's Broncos got their first taste of competition for the season Tuesday when they traveled to Hurricane and won two short games by one-sided scores. Two Hurricane High School teams met the Broncos in the double-header with the Cedar City aggregation winning 15 to 5 and 11 to 1. The Bronco squad is composed of 15 players, all of whim will sec much action. Positions have not been definitely assigned as yet, and Coach Petty will probably prob-ably do considerable shifting and substituting until he finds the strongest combination. The Snow game will be played later in the season, with the remainder re-mainder of the schedule to be run as originally announced. The next game will be played against Dixie at St. George on April 14. |
