Show Ladies Clubs Combine To Hear Illustrated Lecture Most of the organized ladies' clubs of Cedar City have been banded together by Mrs. D. Ned Sargent to share an outstanding lecture cn Siam by PTof. Olive K. Burningham of the Brigham Young University. The lecture has been set for Friday, April 23 in the Second Ward chapel. Mrs. Sargent had originally scheduled Prof. Burnigham to appear ap-pear before the Chere Amies group but after further consideration, consid-eration, cpened the lecture to all interested parties. Some of the contemplated guests will include the H H Club, Belva Zimns, Ami Fidel, M B W Club, Drama Club, Reading Club, Lohoaobey and sewing Club. Prof. Burningham was an exchange ex-change teacher to Siam and she has presented her lecture to several sev-eral organizations in and around Provo. It is understood that she dresses in the native costume cf the Siam people for the lecture and she will discuss the people, land and customs of the nation, supplemented by colored slides. She is in the English department depart-ment at the B Y U. |
