Selects Play for Presentation "The Glass Menagerie," by Tennessee Williams, a drama of family life, has been selected as the College of Southern Utah play for the current season, Twain Tippetts, director announce.. an-nounce.. The play, a story of the tragedy trage-dy of a well-meaning mother who dominates her family, particularly parti-cularly a crippled daughter, is unusual in that it has a cast of only four characters, all principals princi-pals with no supporting roles. The cast selected for the play Includes three students and one adult, selected to add maturity to the role. Mrs. Elaine Soulhwick, who lias done outstanding work at the college in other dramas, has been selected for the role of the mother. mo-ther. Miss Eilene Steele of Delta will play the part of Laura, the laughter. Keith Tattersal of Reaver Rea-ver will appear as Tom, the brother, bro-ther, and Robert Erame of Cedar City, will play the role of Jim the gentleman caller. Hal Hickman of Beaver will assist in the production as stu-1 dent director. The play has been scheduled for May 13, 11 and 15.1 Last week the members of the cast were the guests of Brigham Young University at its presenta-1 tion of the same drama. I |
