Show Farm Loan Assn. Officers Attend Convention J. M. Palmer, vice president; B. Glen Kenney, secretary-treasurer and manager of Cedar City; Lin-dau Lin-dau Foremaster, president, St. George; Dudley Crafts, Delta and Clarence A. Lewis. Overton, Nev., of the Cedar City National Farm Loan Association spent Thursday Thurs-day and Friday in Salt Lake City, attending a conference of directors direc-tors of the Utah national farm loan iissoebujiins. The meeting was devoted to discussing ways and means of improving service rendered to farmers and ranchers by these cooperative lending organizations organiza-tions through which land bank loans are made. Walter Dean, president of the Federal Land Bank of Berkeley, stated that effective immediate-jly immediate-jly higher valuations will be used jin appraising better farm properties prop-erties for land bank loans. This j action came about as a result of I a recently concluded survey jwhcih indicates a continued healthy heal-thy and stable economic outlook for farmers, it was reported. I Dean also reported that the financial condition of the land bank, which is owned by 52 national na-tional farm loan associations in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah, is the best in its history. |
