Show Nominations Made For Wildlife Federation Officers Nominations for officers of the Cedar City Wildlife Federation were made ?t a meeting held Tuesday evening at Hotel El Escalanto, according to Grant Seegniill'T, president. Nominated for the position of president for the 1955 year were Glen Jackson and Ted Cox. Vice presidential candidates were listed list-ed as Willard Hamilton and Don Draper. At the meeting a lively discussion dis-cussion on federation activities and wildlife activities of the state was carried on with Seogmiller in charge. A report on the chukar partridge par-tridge plant in the state this year was made. It was pointed out that 11.409 birds were released at rarefullv chosen planting sites during 1951. Nominations to the board of directors di-rectors for the federation included includ-ed Cline Bauer and Lloyd Stucki for two-year members. Six were listed for ( ne-year directors with three to be elected. They are: Paul Cason. Richard Stucki, Lloyd Crawford, Ross Glass, Ivan Orton and Elmo Heap. Seegmilli'r also reported at the meeting that J. Perry Egan, director di-rector of the Utah State Department Depart-ment of Fish and Game, has com-Imitted com-Imitted the state to plant at least 25 loads of legal fish in Navajo prior to the angling season next spring. Compared to the eight to 10 normally planted in these waters, wa-ters, a plant of this nature would amply stock the lake for the coming com-ing season, Seegmiller stated. Balloting for officers will be conducted by mail and all members mem-bers will receive their ballots in the very near future, Seegmiller stated. |
