Show HERE AND THERE MRS. THEROL McABTHUB Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Cox had as week end guests Mrs. Cox's brother Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schmutz and family of Van Horn, Texas, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcel Schmutz. of St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Kunz spent the Christmas week end in St. George with her mother, Mrj Ketti Mi.rrin and in vis iting friends and relatives there. Dr. and Mrs. Forrest Anderson had as a house guest over the Christmas week end, Mrs. Anderson's Ander-son's mother, Mrs. Ruby God-dard, God-dard, of Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Bulloch and son Bryan left Monday morning for a week in California Califor-nia vacationing and visiting with friends. While there they hope to see the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl football game on New Year's Day. They were accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Mary Bulloch. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Liver returned re-turned to Cedar City Sunday after af-ter spending several days in Salt Lake City where they were called because of the death of an aunt of Mrs. Ulver. Mr. and Mrs. McKay Cloward spent the week end in Monroe and Elsinore visiting with their parents and their many friends there. Mr. and Mrs. Ren Taylor and Vickie and Bruce, left Tuesday for California for a few days, and long enough to take in the Tournament of Roses and football foot-ball game. Mrs. Lona Watson has had as house guests for Christmas, her children, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bowen and two kiddies from Salt Lake City; her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Watson Wat-son from Riverside, Calif., and I. ..a n.n.. r m her sister, Mrs. Betty Young from Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Smith, attending at-tending school in Logan, are home for the holidays visiting at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeNolr Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Smith. Among the other students home from the A C at Logan are Miss Laurel Lunt, Miss Lorraine Miller, Miss Madalaine Isom and Ken Larson. Pvt. Rhoden Williams arrived in Cedar City Christmas Eve In time to spend Christmas with his mother, Mrs. Katherine C. Williams. Rhoden will be here until after the holidays when he will return to his base at Fort Genning, Ga. Students home from the B Y U in Provo include Janet Wasden, Claudine Cowan, Mary Kay Croft and Barbara Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Ashcroft have as holiday house guests, their son-in-laws and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Harl Judd, Mr. and Mrs. Hal Hansen, and the form er's daughter LouAnn, all of Logan. Lo-gan. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Stephenson Stephen-son left Tuesday for a trip to California to enjoy the Rose Parade Pa-rade and a short vacation. They were accompanied by their daughter Pat, and son John. Cloyd Orton is spending the holidays at home from the U of U with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Orton. Home from Northwestern University Uni-versity is Gaylen Brown, who is visiting with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Brown. Lt. Gary Smith is at home in Cedar City on leave from the Radar Ra-dar school he is attending in Be-loxl, Be-loxl, Miss. After the holidays Gary will return for six weeks more schooling. Then he will be transferred to another school. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Nelson and family, formerly of Cedar City, but now residing In California, are here visiting with their many friends. Students from the University of Utah spending their holiday vacations at home are Carol Ann Parry, Helen Harris, Marlene Hanzon, Ronald Stapley, Dale Perkins, Sylvia Smith and Larry Givan. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Horan and two sons left Cedar City Friday via train for their new home and position in Pittsburgh. The Hor-ans Hor-ans have resided in Cedar City for the past two years while Mr. Horan was employed as a geologist at Columbia Iron Mines. |
