Opera Cast Chosen, Preparations Under Way Lead roles for the forthcoming Branch Agricultural college production pro-duction of the opera "Cavaleria Rusticana" have been selected and rehearsals are to begin immediately, im-mediately, it was announced by Prof. Blaine Johnson, director. Each of the roles in the famed opera by Moscagni will be double dou-ble cast in order to give more students opportuniy to participate, partici-pate, said Prof. Johnson. Singing the soprano role of Santuzza will be Norma Edwards Ed-wards and Alene Gibson of Cedar City; as Lolo will be Christine Houchen and Anne O. Leavitt, also of Cedar City. In the role of Lucia are Carmen Rose, Delta, and Maryliss Heaton, Orderville. Male roles were assigned to Kent Myers, Minersville and Vern Baird, Richfield as Alfio, and to Duane Stuart, Hinckley and Ronald Ron-ald Hall, Cedar City. Virginia Henrie, Delta will understudy un-derstudy the role of Lucia and Norman White, Cedar City will understudy Alfio. Production date will be the third week in March at B A C and tentative plans are being made to take the opera to surrounding sur-rounding communities.
