Show Progress Reported In Polio Battle Progress in the fight against polio was reviewed by Dr. L. B. Gebhardt, professor of bacteriology bacteriolo-gy at the University of Utah and international authority on polio research Tuesday evening, before be-fore a group at the Cedar City L D S Institute. His address was preliminary to the launching of the March of Dimes campaign in Iron county. Noting accomplishments that have been made in research in furthering understanding of the disease and its effects. Dr. Gebhardt Geb-hardt described the nature of poliomyelitis and possible means by which it is spread. He pointed out the need of funds for treatment and research that are provided by the annual March of Dimes campaign. Mrs. Emily Stewart, advisor for women's activities for Utah, showed slides of the treatment of the disease in the state's hospitals. hospi-tals. Wilson N.
