Show Former Cedar Man Dies in Automobile Accident A former Cedar City resident lost his life in an automobile accident ac-cident in Oregon Sunday, accord-in accord-in to word received in Cedar City by his Wife, who had come here to attend funeral services for her father. Kstol Ray Raymer. 30, died at Canyonville, Ore., Monday from injuries suffered Sunday evening, according to wonf received by Mrs. Ramona Hunter Raymer, who had been summoned to Cedar Ce-dar City because of the death of her father, James A. Hunter. According to word received in Cedar City, Mr. Raymer, accompanied accom-panied by his children stopped his car just out of Canyonville on his way to their home, to ad just lights on the car which had dimmed. While he was adjusting adjust-ing the lights, another car hit him crushing him between the two cars. He died 12 hours later. Other occupants of the car were uninjured. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U. S. Navy in the Pacific theater of operations. He had lived near Canyonville for the past three years, where he was employed in the lumber mills. He was born in Kentuckv, Julv 11. 1915. He is survived by his widow, a daughter, La Rae, and a son, Duane; his parents, and sisters in Kentucky. The body will be brought to Cedar City for burial Funeral services have been tentatively set for 2 p. m. Wednesday, Dec. 2G, in the Third ward chapel. |
