I The transfer of the properly land operation of the mine will I take place on Dec. 31. At that time the Macfarlane Hot Coal Company will cease operations, and the following day the mine will begin operation under the name of the Koal Kreek Coal company. The Tucker coal mine in Right Hand canyon will continue to operate op-erate as in the past, with the new holdings to be run as a separate operation. Grant C. Tucker will manage the Koal Kreek Coal mine, with Floyd Tucker in direct charge of the other mine. Guy C. Tucker and Grant Tucker Tuck-er spent last week in northern Utah contracting for the purchase of new machinery with which to completely modernize the operation oper-ation of the mine. At present the coal is hand mined, and new equipment to be installed will include a coal cutter, trammer, drills, a rotary dump and other necessary items. The new equipment will arrive in the near future, but installation installa-tion will be delayed until an electric power line can be built to the mine. It is expected that work on the new line will start in the very near future. |
