Show 111 Health Causes Korea Transfer For Col. Frank Dalley Lt. Col. J. Frank Dalley, commanding com-manding officer of the 213th Field Artillery Battalion in Korea, Ko-rea, has been relieved of his command com-mand because of poor health. However, Col. Dalley will not be returned to the states, it is understood, un-derstood, but will be transferred to Corps Headquarters until he is eligible for return to the states. Word has been received that a replacement for Col. Dalley has been assigned to the battalion, but that Dalley will remain with the new commander for about 10 days until he is thoroughly familiar fa-miliar with the unit. Following this Col. Dalley will return to Corps Headquarters, but it is not known whether he has been given gi-ven an assignment there or not. Col. Dalley has commanded the 213th throughout its service in Korea since it went into action on the battle front early this year. He was in command when the battalion was federalized and has been with it constantly since, except for a brief period when he was in the hospital In Japan for medical treatment. His health has not been too good during mast of his service in Korea, but he is not seriously ill, it is understood. How soon he will be able to return to the states is not known here. |
