Show Capt. Johnson Said Enroute Home From Korea Service Word was received yesterday that Capt. Vance Johnson, a member of the battalion staff of the 213th Field Artillery Battalion, Battal-ion, local National Guard unit serving in Korea, is enroute home. His exact arrival time is not known here but he is expected expect-ed at any time. Capt. Johnson is reported to be coming home under rotation, the first officer from the local unit ; to be relieved of duty on the new ; point, system recently set up for '. officers. Capt. Johnson held the highest number of service points because of the fact that he left on advance detail to the far east about a month earlier than the ;. unit. According to reports from Ko- tea. Cant. Johnson has done an outstanding job with the battal- Ion staff, first as intelligence officer, of-ficer, and later as operations officer of-ficer when he replaced Capt. Blaine Johnson who returned home several months ago. Anxiously awaiting his arrival are his wife, Mrs. Doris Leigh Johnson, a son, Johnnie, Jr., and his mother, Mrs. Clinton Milne. |
