Show Newcastle Reservoir Committee Pushes Organization For years the people of Newcastle New-castle have been aware that the town could not grow without more irrigation water,. As a means of supplying that water, plans were started for a reservoir reser-voir In Pinto Canyon to conserve water. At the request of the residents resi-dents of the town state engineers engi-neers surveyed the site and declared de-clared the plan feasible. Continuing to promote the project, pro-ject, water holders formed a reservoir res-ervoir company, but the company com-pany was never Incorported. They have been advised to get the necessary nec-essary legal work done and to present their plan to the Utah State Power and Water Board as soon as possible. Last Friday a committee consisting con-sisting of Alonzo Chrlstensen, Albert Al-bert Harrison, Charles Hart, Richard Rich-ard Jones and Glean Heaton went to Salt Lake City and hired John Boyden as legal advisor. Mr. Boy-den, Boy-den, experienced in this type of legal work, will prepare the necessary ne-cessary Information and make the presentation to the water board. The plan has received favorable favor-able comment and it Is believed that In the near future it will become be-come a reality. It Is estimated! that the reservoir will cost $217,-000 $217,-000 and will store 330 acre feet of water. |
