Show Alumni Association President Reveals Banquet Plan L. Robert Gardner, president of the BNS-BAC Alumni Association announced this week that finish-ing finish-ing touches are now being made on preparations for the annual banquet and dance set for Thursday, Thurs-day, May 20 at Hotel El Escalante. Escal-ante. This year the banquet will honor hon-or the graduating classes of 1904, 1914, 1924, 1934 and the 1954 graduates. Max S. Dalley, a product pro-duct of the 1934 class, will serve as master of ceremonies for the occasion. He is from Parowan and is principal of the high school there. The emphasis this year, according ac-cording to Mr. Gardner, is being put on a short, snappy and entertaining en-tertaining program with a special spe-cial attempt made to hold the banquet to a minimum of time. Several musical numbers will be given plus the toasts to the graduates grad-uates and the toasts to the alumni alum-ni association. Arthur Higbee is in charge of the program of arrangements and he stated that final commitments will be made this week. The banquet will be held at 7:30 p. m. at the hotel with the dance to follow at the College of Southern Utah ballroom. Election of officers, the principal princi-pal matter of business at the affair, will be conducted also. A nominating committee has been set up and ballots will be on hand Thursday. Three new board members will be elected, and a new president and other organization organi-zation officers will be named by the board later. Alumni of the area have been encouraged to attend the annual affair and support the organization organiza-tion in its efforts to promote C S U. The graduating class this year will be the first from the College of Southern Utah and will be an added list to the alumni of the ever growing college. |
