Cedar City Selected As Site For CIO Convention Cedar City has been selected as the site for the 1955 annual convention of the Utah State Industrial In-dustrial Union Council (CIO). The delegates to the convention held in Ogden last week end voted vot-ed at the final session to bring the convention to Cedar City next year, with the convention dates to be set sometime in May. The invitation to hold the convention con-vention here was made by Tom Daly and Kay Chamberlain, the Cedar City delegates to the state gathering. The CIO convention will be one of the largest and most important import-ant state gatherings yet to be held in Cedar City it is understood, under-stood, and will be a mammoth undertaking for the comparatively comparative-ly small local union organization organiza-tion to handle.
