Show LETTERS j TO THE EDITOR BNS-BAC Founders' ! Day Committee Chairman Speaks The Branch Agricultural College Col-lege was founded 5t years ago. Its steady and consistent growth bears testimony of the wisdom and foresight "of its magnani mous founders. The patrons, alumni, faculty and students of the B A C are not untiKe the founders in mat they, too, have a profound sense of educational and cultural values. val-ues. The extremely sincere expressions ex-pressions of appreciation com ing from the people, particularly particular-ly students, who heard the program pro-gram presented last Thursday in honor of the Founders is bonified proof of this assertion. B A (' really is a part of our beings. It constitutes one of the most conspicuous and influential elements of our environment. Many of our greatest and noblest nob-lest thoughts, desires and aspirations aspira-tions were generated within us directly or indirectly by this great institution. The great strength and power of the school lies largely in its graduates. The BNS-BAC Alumni Association has a reputation repu-tation of being unusually loyal to its Alma Mater. That loyalty and that strength were very evident evi-dent last Thursday as former students responded on the Founders' Foun-ders' Day program. Their performances per-formances truly made history on College Hill. As chairman of the committee in charge of that program, I pay-tribute pay-tribute to the Alumni association, to its president, Frank Petty, to its secretary, Beth Talbot, to its distinguished council and all its members. I appreciate and thank very sincerely all who took part on the program. Every number was rendered beautifully and enjoyed immensely. Special mention of the original poetry written and read so beautifully beau-tifully by Mrs. Marian Sherratt Hahne must be made. The story her poetry told, gave full meaning mean-ing to each musical number and synchronized them into a delightful de-lightful whole. Thanks to you, Marian, a B A C graduate. Radio station KSUB, as so often of-ten it has done through the (years, rendered a great public service by broadcasting our live program, and then again by responding re-sponding to popular request for a rebroadcast. We are indebted j to the station for this generosity 'and wish to thank Arthur Hig-bee, Hig-bee, its manager, very sincerely. ! Signed, I D. L. SARGENT |
