Show CLUB NOTES Mr. Ralph Box Mrs. L. R. McConnell was hostess host-ess Tuesday evening at her home to the members of her bridge club, with Mrs. Lola Logan as a special guest. Mrs. Hugh Chee-ver Chee-ver and Mrs. Logan won prize awards. Members of the Canasta club were guests of Mrs. Don Alger Thursday afternoon at her home, with Mrs. Robert Muir and Mrs. M. M. Rasmussen as special guests to the club. Mrs. Milton Sevy entertained Monday evening for the members of her club. Invited as special guests were Mrs. Reed Farns- worth and Mrs Boyd Paulson. Mrs. Jack Strate was hostess Wednesday evening at her home to the ladies of club Tyro. A dessert luncheon was served to eight members followed by bridge. Mrs. Murral Butler and Mrs. Virgil Bird were awarded (score prizes. Mrs. Sylvia Jones entertained Friday evening for the members of Ami Fidel club. Mrs. Thur-man Thur-man HIgbee presented for the ladies' enjoyment a review of the book "The Silver Challls" followed with a light luncheon served by the hostess. At the previous meeting, at the home of Mrs. Carlos Jones, Mrs. DelRoy Hunter was accepted into the club as a new member. The members of the M. B. W. club were the guests of Mrs. M. D. Ams Friday afternoon at her home. Mrs. Herbert Milne and Mrs. Henry Smith were received as new members of the club. Mrs. Preston Wood presented the program, pro-gram, which Included a report by Mrs. Ardella Ford of her recent re-cent experiences In the eastern states. At the close of the meeting meet-ing luncheon was served to 17 guests. Cedar Chapter 20, Order of Eastern Star, met Monday, Mar. 9, at the Masonic temple for its regular meeting. Mrs. Joseph Roach, grand associate conductress, conduct-ress, and Mrs. Clayton Lewis, deputy de-puty lecturer, were honored during dur-ing the meeting by Mrs. H. M. Endsley, worthy matron. The chapter was favored with a vocal number by Mrs. Harlan Durand, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Ernest Boyns, followed by two piano solos by Howard Mace. Following the meeting, Mrs. Alice Geiger. assisted by Mrs. Fred LaFrentz and Mrs. Oscar Larson, were hostesses to the members and guests of the chapter. chap-ter. Members of the Thursday club were guests of Mrs. Richard Morris for luncheon followed by an evening of bridge. Mrs. Rudy Iverson was a special guest. Score prizes were awarded Mrs. Dale Milne, Mrs. Court Nelson and Mrs. York Nelson. Friday evening Mrs. Miles Waters Wa-ters entertained the members of her club. A light luncheon was served to Mrs. Jacl- Thuet. Mr. Keith Cripps, Mrs. Gam Hirschi, Mrs. Chester Cripps, Mrs. LaVar Hirschi, Mrs. Melvin Baldwin and Mrs. Gordon Wood. The ladies enjoyed the evening with a social so-cial and sewing. Mrs. Eugene Palmer was host- ess to the ladies of her club on Tuesday evening at her home. A tasty luncheon was served to eight members, followed by a social. Wednesday club members were the guests of Mrs. Dee Arthur at brides. Luncheon was served to Mrs. Raymond Lee, Mrs. Rex Harris, Mrs. Arthur Burnham, Mrs. Donald Mathews. Mrs. Merrill Mer-rill Kunz, Mrs. Wirth Wood, Mrs. LaN'oir Jones, Mrs. Wayne Jackson, Jack-son, Mrs. Sam Gentry, Mrs. Vernon Ver-non Cummings. Mrs. Hugh Chee-ver. Chee-ver. Score honors were won by Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Cummings, Mrs. Cheever, Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Mathews. I ' I The Twinkler's club will meet Monday, March 16 at the home of Mrs. Dan Gillies for the regular regu-lar meeting and social.
