Show NEWS NOTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Fifi of Cedar City have purchased the home of Mrs. Margaret Allen and are now moving to Summit Mr. and Mrs. John Jones have received word that their son Kenneth Ken-neth Low, who was expected home from overseas, would be delayed because of an incident that occurred after leaving his ship upon his arrival in the states. According to the report ' he was attacked by a proup of men who robbed him of $200 and in the attack he suffered a broken bro-ken hand. He was returned to the ship for hospitalization. He is expected ex-pected home as soon as he is released. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Matheson were home from Zion National Park over the week end. Mrs. Cleo Riddley has been ill for the past few weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dalley, accompanied by their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ru-lon Ru-lon Dalton of Pa rowan, attended funeral services in Ogden for Birt Farnsworth, former Summit man, who died in Ogden last week. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rennie and children of Parowan visited with Mrs. Hulda Peterson Sunday Sun-day afternoon. Mrs. Susanna Ilulet spent part of last week in Cedar City visiting visit-ing with her daughter, Mrs. Ar-villa Ar-villa Adams. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Ilulet spent last Sunday visiting with relatives rela-tives in Cedar City. Ardell Walker and his father of Las Vegas, Nev., spent the week end in Summit. Mrs. Walker Walk-er spent the. time visiting with her parents in New Harmony. Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Fife of St. George and his son Peter and family of Cedar City visited with Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Fife and family Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Pauline Rennie of Parowan Paro-wan and her two daughters Char- 1 olett and Pauline and two small sons Chucki and Kddie visited here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Ilulet made a business trip to Salt Lake City and I'rovo last week end. They also visited with their son Kent, who is teaching in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Smith Stapley of Cedar City visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Jones Sunday. Mrs. I ucy Green who has been ill during the past week is reported re-ported to be improving at present. pres-ent. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Jensen of Cedar City visited with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stapley Sunday. The Summit Ward celebrated the Relief Society anniversary with a banquet and program Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jolley of Cedar City visited at the home of Mrs. John Jones Sunday. Mrs. Nettie Dalley has returned return-ed home after spending the winter win-ter months in California with her two daughters, Mrs. Leone and Ermine Cowdell. |
