They will become be-come effective on April 15, 20 days after publication. One of the ordinances deals with application for culinary wa ter service and the payment of water rental fees. It provides that before any residence can be connected w ith the culinary system sys-tem a written application must be filed with the city requesting the service, and agreeing to meet all regulations controlling the culinary water system. A $15 deposit de-posit must be made with the application ap-plication to guarantee payment of fees. In addition all charges against the particular property, for water or any other city service, ser-vice, must be paid before the application ap-plication can be accepted. Another of the ordinances vacates va-cates a portion of an old Thor-ley, Thor-ley, Williams, Fretwell, Dalley subdivision. The old subdivision provides for the location of certain cer-tain streets, and the request was made by property owners that the subdivision be vacated in order or-der that a new subdivision, with a different street plan, could be developed. The third ordinance re-zones a small section of the city between 200 and 300 East Street at 400 South, to a C-l Commercial zone. This was done to permit the establishment es-tablishment of a neighborhood store in the area, Public hearings hear-ings on the proposal were held some time ago. |
