Show : SOCIETY NOTES ! By Mrs. Ralph Box ; Mr. and Mrs. G. D. MacDonald i were hosts Thursday evening at Hotel El Escalante at a dinner i party honoring Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hanson. Places were set for Mr. and Mrs. John Rowberry, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Standifird, Mr. i and Mrs. Boyd Paulson, and Mr. and Mrs. Hanson. Mrs. Howard Mace entertained at a luncheon Friday afternoon ai ner nome, with the following ladies present: Mrs. Blaine Standifird, Stan-difird, Mrs. A. H. Lambert, Mrs. Al Jenson, Mrs. Dean Williams, Mrs. Ralph Box, Mrs. R. L. Wahl, Mrs. Boyd Leonard and Mrs. Harold Har-old Wycoff. The home of Mrs. Max Randall Ran-dall was the scene of a farewell party for Mrs. Leonard Whiting Thursday evening. Mrs. Randall was assisted in the partv arrangements ar-rangements by Mrs. Alden Heap, Mrs. Grant Taylor, Mrs. Howard Wood, Mrs. M. F. Burgess, Mrs. Carn Matheson, Mrs. Belden Lewis and Mrs. G. D. McGarry. Also enjoying the evening of card games were Mrs. Ren Taylor, Mrs. Leslie Pace, Mrs. P. J. Williams, Wil-liams, Mrs. Giles Bolander, Mrs. Tom Urie, Mrs. Boyd Leonard, Mrs. Mont Hunter and Mrs. Jack Thuet. A gift was presented to Mrs. Whiting by the group. Mrs. Bertha Perrion and son Don are visiting in Cedar City at the home of her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Max Bleas. Mrs. Perrion is a former resident of Cedar City and now . makes her home in Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Hanson, who :Jnow reside in Eagle Mountain, Calif., spent a few days in Cedar City visiting with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Kearns of Fresno, Calif., are visiting in Cedar Ce-dar City this week, dividing their visit with Mr. and Mrs. Donovan Kearns, and Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bird. Jack Strate is convalescing In Utah Valley hospital at Provo from an operation on his eyes. |
