Show Committee Assignments are Made To Further Public Cancer Education Organization and arrangements to conduct one of the biggest fund raising campaigns in the history of the Cancer Can-cer Society in Iron County are being completed by Mrs. F. B. Parkinson and her county committee, it was announced today. The county-wide drive will be staged during the month of April. Appointments to the central committee and participating partici-pating personnel from various organizations have been m.lrfp In an pffnrt tn sfpam.rnllpr the drive in the early part of the month. Mrs. Parkinson stated that films on cancer have been obtained ob-tained and that they will be available to service clubs and other organizations. Education is half the battle, she stated, and the films point out the dread of cancer. Films may be obtained by contacting Mrs. Parkinson, Mrs. Ralph Jones or Mrs. Richard Leigh. Mrs. Leigh has been apointed as the new co chairman of the Cancer Society in Iron County to replace Mrs. Ianthus Wright, who has resigned from the committee. Other appointments throughout through-out the county include: Mrs. Bert Smith, Ladv Lions; Mrs. Dub Leigh, V. F. W. Auxiliary; Auxil-iary; Mrs. Frank Milne and Mrs. Carlos Taylor, Kiwani-Anns; Mrs. Delbert Woolsey, Lady Elks, and Mrs. Hyrum L. Perry, American Legion Auxiliary. These ladies will head the drive in their various var-ious organizations within Cedar City. |
