Show KANARRAVILLE The Ward Relief Society anniversary anni-versary program and party was held Tuesday, Mar. 16. Each lady who attended wore a hat made by herself with a prize offered for the most original hat. Mrs. Lena Williams was the winner. A pot luck lunch was served and all reported having had an enjoyable enjoy-able time. A son was born at the Iron County hospital last week to Mrs. Margie Shaffer. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Williams and family were week end visitors visit-ors at Las Vegas. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Berry and children and George A. Berry have returned home after a few days visit in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Chris- tensen and family, and Rosella Chrlstensen were business visitors visit-ors at Ogden during the week. Mrs. Vaughan Isom reports a grandson born at the Iron County Coun-ty hospital to her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernell Isom of Cedar City. Leonard Davis and Ivan Davis and son David attended the baseball base-ball game In Las Vegas Friday between the New York Giants and the Cleveland Indians. Visitor here Sunday for Priesthood Priest-hood meeting and Sunday School was Truman Rollins of Cedar) City. He and L. C. Miles, also of Cedar City, were speakers at Sacrament Sac-rament meeting. Mrs. Cordia Quinn of Beryl was a visitor here with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Williams. Hannah A. Davis and Carma Williams and children visited la Summit Thursday with their daughter and sister, Mis. Elda Fife and family. Three car loads of scouts held a swimming party at LaVerkin hot springs last Friday evening under the direction of their scoutmaster, scout-master, Robert Caldwell. Dale Cornelius visited a few days in La Verkln with relatives this week. |
