Show i New Scout Troop To Hold Meeting The first meeting of the new boy scout troop which is being sponsored by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge No. 1556 of Cedar City, will be held Thursday, January 12, according ac-cording to Max Whitney, scout-m.aster. scout-m.aster. All boys between 12 and 15 ears of age, who are interested in scouting, are urged to attend this opening meeting scheduled for 7:30 p. m. in the basement of the Presbyterian church. The troop is non-sectarian, and a charter for the organization is being applied for by the Elks Lodge. The Elks are also sponsoring spon-soring an advanced group for boys from 15 years of age and up, called the Explorer Post. Wil. liam Weber is scoutmaster and Frank Milne is the chairman of the Elks Explorer committee. J. D. Dockstader Is the chairman of , the Elks troop committee. |
