Show Colorful Indian Dances to Be Staged in Delta The "Eagle" and "Rabbit" dances, authentic rituals of the Piute Indian tribe, will be performed per-formed in Delta, Tuesday, Janu-ary Janu-ary 10 by the members of the Cedar City Explorer Post. Scouts from the entire Deseret District will be on hand to witness wit-ness the colorful tribal custom. A Piute Indian, Wilbur Bush-head,, Bush-head,, and LaVan Martineau, rowder Horn Explorer, will perform per-form the "Eagle" dance. For ears, the Piute tribes have performed per-formed this dance in the month of August in honor of the eagle, j The dance depicts the bird t.ik-Ing t.ik-Ing off and soaring through the air. In the "Rabbit" dance, all the members of the Powder Horn Ex-plorers Ex-plorers join together with Bus-head Bus-head to perform the ancient dance. Long ago, the tribes held the dance In the spring in honor hon-or of the rabbit.
