Show Legion Sponsors urn j fm if Tide of Toys For Europe's Tots A 'Tide of Toys" is swelling over America as children and grownups of all ages are responding re-sponding to a nationwide appeal of the American Legion to share Christmas toys with the impoverished impover-ished children of Europe. Countless thousands of toys from generous children all over America will be loaded aboard a chartered "Santa Claus" ship which sails from Philadelphia in late January. In Europe the toys will be distributed to deserving children under auspices of CARE. Meanwhile, American Legion Posts are gathering toys from all parts of America. Toys should be taken to lo cal Legion Posts, where they will be packed and forwarded to Salt Lake City for consolidation in a car-load shipment to Philadelphia. Philadel-phia. Clarence C. Neslen, Utah Commander Com-mander of the American Legion, urged those who join In the "Tide of Toys" to give a real prize not discarded or worn-out worn-out toys. He pointed out, also, that a friendly note of greeting should be securely attached to each toy. "TOT' is a tremendous program pro-gram which will not only bring hope and pleasure to many thousands of Europe's children, but it will make them, in years to come, true friends of America. Ameri-ca.
