Show Parowan to Hold Pioneer Day Fete Parowan, the oldest town in southern Utah, will celebrate its Pioneer Day, Friday, January 13, which is the 99th anniversary of the founding of the southern Utah community. An official celebration is being planned under the sponsorship of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. A group luncheon is scheduled for noon on that day in the West ward recreation hall and Relief Society rooms. Following the luncheon, there will be a program pro-gram which will be followed by old-time dancing for the older people. An old-time dance will be held in the evening in the same place, with residents of all the surrounding sur-rounding communities invited to participate. Everyone who is able, is urged to come wearing a Pioneer costume for the dance in the evening. |
