Show i BAC Drops Two InlCAC Basketball Race The Branch Agricultural college col-lege basketball team was given a rather severe set back Ui its quest for the southern division title in the Inter Collegiate Athletic Ath-letic Conference, dropping both games of its opening double-header double-header by narrow margins. Coach Ray Lindquist's Broncos opened the race with two gamfes against the Carbon Eagles at Trice, and lost both encounters. Thursday night the team was tripped by the Eagles by a score of 43 to 42, and the following night the Price team won by a score of 45 to 37. The Broncos lost both games at the foul line. Although the Lagles were given considerably more foul shots than were the Broncos, if Lindquist's players rould have connected for a reasonable rea-sonable per cent of their tries they could have saved both games. In the opening game the BAC scored 15 field goals to 12 for Carbon, but converted only 12 of 23 foul tries, while Carbon was getting 19 in 33 tries. In the second eame the two teams scored the same number of field goals, but the Broncos were able to add only 5 points from the foul line although they had 15 shots. Carbon made 13 out of 23 tries. The Broncos played good ball in the two games, but were hampered ham-pered considerably by frequent fouls called against them, the Price team getting 56 free shots in the two game series. This week the Broncos will tangle with the Snow Badgers in two games to be played at Eph-raim. Eph-raim. They meet the Badgers on Friday and Saturday nights this week. Next week they will play their first home game, meet-ing meet-ing Dixie here Friday night. The following night they will play the Flyers at St. George. Last week end Snow and Dixie split a two game series played at St. George. Snow won the first game 52 to 45 but the Flyers Fly-ers reversed the decision the following fol-lowing night. In the addition to the Snow-BAC games this week, Westminster will $lay, Carbon at Price, and Dixie will be idle, Westminster had no games scheduled last week.
