Show Cedar High School Registration Flans i Told Hy Principal In order to faiclltate registration when school opens next Tuesday, 1 Pratt M. Bethers. Principal of the Cedar City high school, announces tiiat senior students will register Tuesday forenoon, junior students Tuesday afternoon and the Sophomores Sopho-mores Wednesday forenoon. Registration Regis-tration in each group will be done by alphabetical order of surname Classes for all students will begin Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Bethers states with the Sophomores meeting at the Little Theatre for an orientation orien-tation period before doing to their classes. The tuition will be $10 00, he says, which Includes a $6.50 student body fee and $3.50 for book rentals, ol which $1.00 will be refunded at the close of the school year If the books are returned in good condition. Mr. Bethers announces that students stu-dents wishing to register for band should find no conflicts In this program pro-gram this year that have been encountered en-countered In recent years. A drivers course will be offered again this year, and Mr. Bethers states that Juniors wishing to take the course should Indicate It at the time of registration, so that they may be properly placed for the course. Industrial Arts I will Include work in woodwork, art leather, plastics, art metal, electricity or electronics, forge work, welding, and Jewelry. Industrial Arts II will consist of both laboratory and class work, and choices may be made from auto mechanics, me-chanics, woodwork, plastics, art leather, art metal, electronls, welding, weld-ing, Jewelry, and mechanical drawing draw-ing A class In consumer education will be given, principally for Hie 10th grade, although 11th and 12th grade students may also take the course. It Is designed to help students stu-dents become intelligent buyers, so ttiat they can get the best possible returns from their earning power. Attention will be given to consumer mathematics to make sure that 'students knowledge of record keeping keep-ing is adequate to give him a true picture of his money management. |
