Show A CARD OF THANKS. The Sisters of the Holy Cross desire to thank Mr. A. H. Tarbet, proprietor of The Intermountain Catholic, for the beautiful gold medal presented by that gentleman to St. Mary s Academy, to be awarded to the pupil most proficient in prose and verse composition. The medal is a thing of beauty as regards re-gards design and engraving, the whole indicating the high value set by the . generous donor upon skill in the use Iof good English. On the pin-bar Is the name of the i recipient, Miss Myra Wood. Below, on the medal proper, is an inclined cross, a single blossom at its base; beneath this, in exquisite engraving, are the words: "Prose and Verse." On the reverse side is engraved the follow- j ing: "Presented by A. H. Tarbet for The Intermountain Catholic. St. Ma- ry's Academy, June, 1900." 4 The winner of this prize. Miss Wood, i is to be congratulated in that her lit- H erary ability has received such recogni- H tion, and the encouragement hereby given to the literary course at the Academy is such as to give additional Impetus to work along the same lines.
