Show DEATH OF CONDUCTOR FAY. Grand Junction, Colo., June 20. William Wil-liam H. Fay, a well-known Rio Grande Western conductor, met death today a few miles this side of Thompsons, Utah. Train No. 127 was east bound, and when it was a little ways out of Thompsons, Fay noticed a hot bor ahead, and while he was leaning from the caboose watching the car, he was struck by coming in contact with a bridge, and his head was crushed in a frightful manner. The engineer vas a witness of the accident, and as soon as possible stopped the train. The body was brought to this city this afternoon and taken to Undertaker Bannister's morgue, where it is being prepared for shipment to hks former home in Utah. Fay leaves a wife and four small children, chil-dren, who reside in this city. Car Repairer D. F. Regan met with an accident at the union depot 'this afternoon which may cost him his life. While at work around a freight car the spring on a brake flew off, striking him on the left side of the face. His left jaw was fractured, his right jaw dislocated, dislo-cated, a heavy contusion by the side of the left eye and concussion of the brain. Dr. Bull looked after the injured in-jured man. ' |
