On Thursday evening, June 14, the large hall in the Immaculate Concep tion School was filled with a very enthusiastic en-thusiastic audience. It was the occasion occa-sion of the third annual commencement. commence-ment. The class was small, but made UP in quality what it lacked in quantity. quan-tity. Miss Georgina E. Edson and Miss M. Ruth Livingston made up the class of 1900. I The essays of both young ladies were ; greatly enjoyed. Miss Livingston's : salutatory was Quite to the rmint while ; Miss Edson enraptured her audience ! with her valedictory. A farewell always al-ways awakens feelings of sorrow, but when we see one bid farewell to childhood child-hood and school life, it always awakens awak-ens nobler sentiments within us, bringing bring-ing us back in spirit to our own school Jife. Miss Edson succeeded admirably in awakening these sentiments, and brought a little tear to the eyes of I many, .tsut these tears, as Hon. Harry j J. O' Bryan, in his clossing address, I said, we need never be ashamed of. I In his address Mr. O'Bryan paid a high tribute to the humility of the good Sisters of Charity inasmuch as they chose a concealed spot from which to look on and see their efforts rewarded. re-warded. His remarks were almost drowned In applause. The following programme was rendered: ren-dered: Dvprtliro "Afirlciimmor "V i rrV.
