Show DEATH OF LITTLE MARIE BOWEN. Little-Marie Bowen, daughter of Mrs. A. V. Bowen died of acute appendicitis at the residence of Judge McHatton Sunday morning. She had been sick but a few days. Since the death of her grandmother, Mrs. Morier, about six weeks aT, the child has been living with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. McHatton. Although only about 10 years of age, the little one was a general gen-eral favorite in the citv, and had a large circle of friends, who will be saddened sad-dened to learn of her death. The funeral took idace from Judge McHatton's residence on West Broadway Broad-way Tuesday morning. Solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's church. -g Dennis Monahan, a miner, dropped dead on West Granite street, just beyond be-yond the Hennessy store on Monday. Police Officer Thomas Walsh saw the man fall and at once ran to his assistance. assist-ance. He realized that Monahan was in a serious condition, and sent for a physician. phy-sician. Dr. MacNevin arrived a few seconds sec-onds after the man had fallen, but too late to render any assistance, Monahan having died in the interim. Coroner Jullien was notified and the remains were removed to Sherman's undertaking rooms. The dead man had but few acquaintances in the city. Some time ago he was employed in the mines. He was about 39 years of age, single, and had no relatives in this locality. His home is in Bellows Falls, Wis. |
