Show Mass Eva Lee entertained at a lovely lawn party at her home Friday afternoon. Luncheon was served at small tables followed by an afternoon of bridge. The" day's outing began with breakfast' at 7 a. m. folowed by a morning of outdoor activities and a Softball game between be-tween the married and single men. Dinner was served at noon. At 2 o'clock a short program was given under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. Orson Perkes: community communi-ty singing led by Bishop J. W Seamons; remarks, S. E; Lamb; instrumental music, Roma and Rula Hurren; vocal duet, Woodrow Seamons and Elsie S.- Brown, ac- Ethelyn Thurston, Ruby Hurren, Ruby Reeder, Ethel Balls, Andrea Lamb, Avon Lamb, Myrtle Balls, Orma Thurston, Leora Seamons Mae Lee, Mame Waite, Jessie Seamons, Sea-mons, Leah Hancey, Carrie Hurren, Hur-ren, Julia Lee, Wanda Ashcroft, Lilian Daines, Hattie Lee Phebe Ashcroft Hattie Morrell, .Eunice Francisco is visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Lor-enzo Petersen. Mrs. Petersen is confined to her bed seriously ill. Mrs. Coral Seamons entertained the members of the Happy Hour club at her home Thursday afternoon. after-noon. The time was spent play-jing. play-jing. outdoor games and "Stung" Luncheon was served at small tables at the close of the afternoon. after-noon. Prizes for the games were won by Mabel Matkin and Ethel Balls. Mrs. Seamons was assisted during the afternoon by her daughters, dau-ghters, Mrs. Gayle Sparrow, ol Smithfied, Mrs. Merle Allen, Hyrum, Hy-rum, and Miss Evelyn Seamons. companied on the guitar by Kathleen Ka-thleen Seamons.' A "Prof Quizz", knowledge test was conducted with Joseph Neilsen claiming first prize! and F. L. Ballam second. The rest of the afternoon was spent in softball games between the home' team and the CCC boys; the fathers and daughters; and the married and single ladies. Supper was served at 5 o'clock with a bonfire program at 7 p. m. under the direction of the MIA with Mrs. Lucretia Ashcroft in Ashcroft, Inez Lee and Eulauaj Lee. . I prizes for the games were won by Mrs. Jorgensen, Mrs. Cash Smith, Mrs. Hunsaker, Ruby Reed- er, Andrea Lamb; Hattie Morrell and Carrie Hurren. iWcrd has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Geo. F. Ashcroft Sr. of the birth of twins. A boy and a girl to Mr. and Mrs. Norvell Butler But-ler of Trenton on Wednesday, August Au-gust 25. Mrs. Butler was formerly charge; The program consisted of group singing, readings, vocal selections se-lections and stunts. The days entertainment en-tertainment closed with a program pro-gram in the amphitheatre, under the direction of the MIA. There was a total of 324 people from the ward in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. R. S. McQuarrie and Miss Carrie McQuarrie motored mo-tored to Salt Lake City, Friday. Carrie enrolled in the L D S Business College, and will make her home in Salt Lake City the coming winter. Mr. and Mrs. Mc Quarrie returned home the same day. Mrs. Orlin Hunsaker and son Victor, returned to their home in Delta, Wednesday. They have spent two weeks visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Lee. Wendel Reeder, of Ames, Iowa who is visiting relatives and friends, here, was the sneaker in Miss Florence Merrill, a grand daughter of -Mr. and Mrs. Ashcroft. Ash-croft. A still-born baby girl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lamb at a local hospital, Saturday, August Au-gust 26. Grave side services were held Sunday in the city cemetery for the infant. Leo and Dewayne Perkes joined the group which enjoyed the horse back trip over the skyine Trail, Wednesday. The polls for the school bond election were open Friday at the school house with Archie Woolf Phebe Reeder and Bishop J. W. Seamons acting as judges of the election. There were 325 tax payers pay-ers cast their vote during the day They were all in the negative. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. D. Seamons spent Sunday in Blackfoot, Idaho, visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Wardle. Mrs. Orson Thatcher and Reeder Thatcher of Young were visiting at the John E. Lee and Preston Lee homes on Sunday. A number of baseball fans attended at-tended the three-game championship champion-ship series at Lewiston, Trenton' s. Sacrament meeting Sunday even-- even-- ing. R. S. McQuarrie left Monday for a two week business trip to Rexburg, Idaho, and vicinity.
