Show C OF C URGES BUILDING OF COURT HOUSE Committee Named to Assist As-sist in Getting Project Started Forest Service Plans. At a meeting of the Directors of the Logan Chamber of Commerce Com-merce held Friday evening there was considerable concern over some of the legal difficulties which may prevent the construction construc-tion of the proposed county and city building. President Ross Anderson appointed ap-pointed O. G. Cardon, H. R. Hur-ren Hur-ren and Herschel Bullen to cooperate coop-erate with the City and County Building Committee, assist where ever they can to help work out the problems and if possible to have the project go forward. It was felt that this was a real opportunity op-portunity to get a worthwhile project pro-ject for the city and county and that every effort possible should be made to accomplish it. The various departments in the court house building and the Logan Lo-gan City offices are crowded and scattered. The County is paying rent for the welfare building and for the Government Re-employment office. By bringing all these scattered offices in one building, would provide sufficient room, give more efficiency and be a saving to the tax payers in general, the directors contend. Among other matters at the meeting, A. G. Nord, Supervisor of the Cache National Forest, reported report-ed that the Forest Service planned plan-ned to place a protection around the large fossil near the side of the highway west of the forks in Logan canyon and to construct a trail to the top of the ridge and have appropriate signs placed with interesting geological information. At this point there are some Interesting In-teresting rock formation which were formed at different " periods in the earths history. The Old Juniper tree and other interesting interest-ing things in Logan canyon would also be pointed out and publicized. |
