Show IMPORTANT SIDELIGHTS ON CACHE COUNTY FAIR t County Commissioner Wm. Wor-ley Wor-ley and Wm. A. Budge, who are in charge of the Poultry for the Oache County Fair to be held Sept. 12, 13, 14 are planning for a large exhibit of the best heavy and light breeds of poultry in the country. They have good coops for housing all the poultry and pet stock. Sub-stantal Sub-stantal cash prizes are being offered of-fered for the best in the various varieties. The judging of the poultry will take place on Monday Sept. 14, at 11 a. m. the last day of the Fair. The Cache Valley Commisson, Globe Grain and Milling Mill-ing Company, the Utah Poultry Association, Central Milling Company Com-pany and Nye & Nesserr- are offering of-fering special premiums in the Poultry Department. Other members mem-bers of the committee are William Wil-liam Ewer and Dan Scott of Logan. Chairman John H. Schenk of the' Dairy Department reports that this will be th ebest quality show ever exhibited at the Fair. There will be 150 head of fine dairy cattle cat-tle with some beef stock. The pastures pas-tures this year have been good and the cattle are in fine condition. con-dition. Dr. C. J. Daines of Logan will exhibit a fine pure bred, Guernsey herd. As usual there will be large herds of Holsteins and some Jerseys. Gilbert Thatcher of Ogden who is an accredited judge will judge the cattle, Tuesday, September 13, at 9 a. m. Other members of the Dairy Committee j are J. G. Plowman, Smithfield; L. B. Caine, Richmond; Jos. A. Smith, Providence; Andrew Nelson, College; and M. P. Thain, Benson. Ben-son. The County Commissioners have completed a fine section of bleachers bleach-ers at the north end near the race track under the black willow trees. With this addition there are 3,000 good seats. There will be no reserved reserv-ed seats as one ' seat is as good as another. A special section of seats will be placed on the east side of the Arena for the Rodeo Queens and the School Bands. The School Bands will play morning morn-ing concerts on a special stand near the exhibition building and early afternoon concerts before the rodeo. The Union Pacific Band will play for the' rodeo each day. This year the 1st day, Monday, i September 12, will be North Cache School Day, the 2nd day, Tuesday, Tues-day, Sept. 13, will be South Cache Day, and the 3rd day, Wednesday Sept. 14 will be Logan City school day. All the schools for their particular par-ticular day will be closed. George O. Webb, in charge of the Horse Department and his committee have made a canvass of the county and report the horse display will be as large as usual. By restricting the horse pulling contest to the teams of Oache Valley, Val-ley, many more draft teams will be on exhibition. If possible there will be a loud speaker to announce interesting features while the horses and cattle are being judged Spectators like to know the owners own-ers of the stock and hear the comments of the judges. Logan City has been asked to occupy its usual place in the north end of the building. The Home and Community Sec-ton Sec-ton has a large number of women wo-men working in this Department. They are always crowded for space. They have listed a large number of cash premiums made possible through the contribution of the Merchants Cornrnittee of the Logan Chamber of Commerce. This Department has been enlarged enlarg-ed considerably. Chairman Mrs. Win. T. James expects a large display. dis-play.
