Show jProvidence Streets Given Good Oiling A motor trip over the streets of Providence, our neighbors on the south, indicate tne citizens there are wide awake to community commun-ity improvements. There is no "city in the county outside of Logan that can boast of having as many well surfaced streets as Providence. Streets have been oiled in practically practi-cally all directions from the center cen-ter of the city. There is an oiled surfaced street leads to the Providence Pro-vidence bench at the site of the Smith Nurseries. This property is being extensively extensive-ly developed by Boyd Hatch under the supervision of Joseph A. Smith, A new residence has been built there this summer at a cost of upwards of $10,000. There are a number of new homes being built in the city by citizens who make their livelihood through farming, dairying and through fruit culture. The next worthwhile project at Providence will be a new municipal munici-pal water system to replace the present system which is inadequate to supply the needs of the citizens citi-zens with culinary water. |
