Brianna Nelson, infant daughter of Mark and Loni Nelson, came home' from the hospital on Friday for a couple of nights, but when they took her in for a check-up, the doctor put her back in. We hope she will be well and can come home soon. Joe Thompson and son Marshall Thompson took a trip to Tooele to pick up some equipment for their business. Vaughn and Mae Twitchell and all of their family met at the St. George LDS Temple on Monday morning for the wedding of son Craig Twitchell and Lee Anna Jones. Family members attending included Ronald Twitchell of West Valley City,' Douglas and Tammy Twitchell of Cedar city, and Lori Munford of Cedar City and Arjean Twitchell of Cannonville. We congratulate them and wish them much happiness. On LDS Fast Sunday, Mae and Vaughn went to Salt Lake City to attend the blessing bless-ing of a new great-granddaughter. She is named Hannah Mae Swett and is a daughter of Allison and Paul Swett and granddaughter of Ronald and Leah Twitchell. Cherlyn Twitchell spent last week in St. George for training for her job at the bank in Cedar City. Bryce Valley rodeo contestants are in good standing and a number of them qualified for the state finals in Heber City this week. The men have been laying sod around the new town hall and it's looking green and beautiful; we are really proud of the new building and surroundings and Vaughn Twitchell, Twit-chell, who keeps up the grounds. The park and cemetery are also looking so neat and well-trimmed. It gives us all a sense of community commu-nity ride and gratitude for all those (See CANNONVILLE on pg.4A) CANNONVILLE From Page 2-A who have made it possible to have these public places to enjoy and to make our lives more pleasant. A lot of hard work and planning has made a difference in our beautiful area. Minok Dunham has two of her grandchildren, Melissa and Louis Barlow from Kanab here visiting. They are daughter Fran Barlow's children. George and Ada Thompson came from Las Vegas, Nev., and stayed most of the week so George could get the weeds out of his garden. gar-den. Our gardens and fruit crops look promising, even though it has cooled off and the wind has blown this past week. Gerald and Dawn Stock recently attended a Smith reunion held in Santaquin. They stopped in Pan-guitch Pan-guitch and picked up their daughter Kathy and son-in-law John Julander and their family and all reported having a great time. David Mathews and his son Michael Mi-chael came from St. George to do some roof repairs on their house here. When the roof is fixed, they will head to Posey Lake for some serious fishing. In LDS sacrament meeting, Michael Mi-chael Fletcher, who, with his family, fam-ily, has just returned from Japan, was the first speaker. His mother Anita Fletcher also spoke and Mike's wife Rimi played the piano while sister Pauline Hansen and her daughter sang "I Am Of Infinite Worth." Alma Fletcher was the concluding speaker. It is good to see the young Fletcher family again. Rita Hammer went to Spanish Fork to spend a couple of days with her daughter Cathy who is still awaiting the birth of her baby. I think they are getting impatient. I guess it seems like a long time to Cathy and husband Mathew. |
