Show UDOT Seeks I Comments On SR-143 CEDAR CITY The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is actively seeking public input on the future of State Route 143 to Parowan, Brian Head and Panguitch. UDOT officials are conducting two open house meetings meet-ings to gather public comments. "We hope to hear a variety of comments regarding the SR-143 corridor, discuss UDOT's current and long-range plans for this highway, high-way, and gather ideas for its future," said Dal Hawks, UDOT Region Four Director. UDOT is specifically specifi-cally interested in the opnions of local leaders, business owners, special spe-cial interest groups, and the general public. Two public open houses will be held at the Panguitch City Hall, 25 S. 200 E, on June 25 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. and at the Parowan Public Pub-lic Library, 16 S. Main, on June 27 from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Comments not submitted during these two open house meetings may be submitted in writing to Jim McConnell, P.E., L.S., Resident Engineer at 1470 N. Airport Rd., Cedar City, Utah 84720. Email: corridorsdot. state. ut.us "We want to get information on the history, safety, traffic, environmental, envi-ronmental, curltural, access to private pri-vate roads, and future development of SR-143 from the people who will be impacted the most," Hawks added. Concerns, problems, and solutions that UDOT might have otherwise overlooked may surface from these meetings. |
