Mr. and Mrs. Leland Pollock, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Pollock, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Pollock, Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Ruesch, Mr. and Mrs. Kerry Alvey, and Mr. and Mrs. Greg Pollock attended the Reynolds reunion held in Cannonville Saturday. The Ira Littlefields have their grandson Eric Grindler from California Cali-fornia visiting with them for a month. j MonDell Syrett and Florence Syrctt were in Salt Lake City with their son Brady Syrett while he practiced with the All Star basketball basket-ball team prior to their leaving to play basketball in New Zealand and Australia. LaRene Munson also has a grandson that will be a member of the team, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Munson of Parowan. There was a good crowd to see the Garfield County Queen crowned Saturday evening in the school gym. Ben Baugh visited with his father and sister Lillis Francisco, and his brothers Mateland Baugh and Herbert Her-bert Baugh. His daughter remained to stay with the Franciscos for a visit. Val Shakespear visited with Marian Shakespear. Lacey Mangum attended a clogging clog-ging school in Park City for a week. Keela Mangum was home for a few days from Grand Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar LeFevre visited with their three sons in Las Vegas the forepart of the week. Peggy Palmer made a trip to Salt Lake City for supplies. Mr. and Mrs. Malen Littlefield took Ira Littlefield to Kanab for medical treatment Earl Jolley was home Saturday. The Tropic LDS Ward Youth Super Activity will include a trip to the mall in Provo and a night at the Manti Pageant tomorrow. Iris Bushnell, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Johnson, Alta Rae McAllister, and Ruby Moore, were visitors at the Clint Mechams and present for the naming of the new little Mecham baby boy. Leola Ott and Gale Cloward of Spanish Fork were also visitors. Mrs. Ott and Mrs. Bushnell Bush-nell are his great-grandmothers. Great-grandfather Malen Mecham was also present Glenna Pollock visited her son Dee Pollock and daughter Hazel Sanders in Fredonia, then went on to Kanab to visit her aunt Thelma Adams who is recovering from surgery. Speakers in LDS sacrament meeting were Rickie Crawford and Bishop Ken Piatt. Alexander Woodbury Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cox, was given a name and blessing. Clinton Dace Mecham, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Mecham, was given his name by his father. The three towns. Tropic, Cannonville Can-nonville and Henrieville, will celebrate cele-brate July 24 holiday on July 23 together in Tropic. Groups desiring to enter a float in the parade are to contact April LeFevre. Speakers in LDS sacrament meeting next Sunday will be the LDS missionaries serving this area. Stanley Ott made a trip to the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake this week. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hall visited with their sister Minnie Nielsen. Louise Ott enjoyed a visit from True Ott, home for a visit Mr. and Mrs. Gary Don Mecham, Rupert, Ida., were visitors at Viva Mecham's and Malen Mecham's. Cora Shakespear was hostess for the Family Home Evening group Monday evening. Mr. and Mrs. George Wilson attended at-tended the Sylvester family reunion held at Duck Creek. Nell's three daughters, Connie Robinson, Maida Anderson, LaNeita Meyers, and all of her brothers and sisters were also in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Clarke and daughter visited with the Lester Clarkes. |
