Show ",,. .... , , ; ' '"' "-" ' wV : zz f; - K " 4 - II Jeremy Perkins Youth Wins Prizes In Ferron Stock Show Jeremy Perkins, 9, son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny Perkins o f Panguitch, walked away with a reserve re-serve champion steer ribbon and plaque and a blue ribbon for a lamb winner at the recently concluded Southeastern Livestock Show in Ferron, Utah, held July 6, 7, 8, 9. Young Perkins was one of nine Garfield County youngsters who made a strong showing at the meet. Travis Hatch, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hatch won second in his class of steers and fourth overall. Melissa Hatch, 15, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hatch, won first in her class of steers and fifth overall. over-all. Kelly Cox, 11, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cox Salt Lake City and grandson of Bessie Perkins won a blue ribbon for his lamb entry. Holly Button, 9, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robin Button and granddaughter of Bessie Perkins, won a blue ribbon on her lamb entry and was called back for championship judging Nathan Henrie and James Henrie, Hen-rie, sons of Mr. and Mrs. E. Terrie Henrie won blue ribbons on their lambs. James Henrie also won second sec-ond in showmanship. Kimberly Soper, 11, and Joshua Soper, 9, daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. Kim Soper, won blue ribbons on their lambs. May parents, grandparents and friends traveled to the four-day show. A combined group of 4-H and FFA members will travel to Tooele for a July 14 show. |
