Show Senior Citizens Future Discussed At Session The Garfield County Council on Aging met Monday, July 11, to discuss various problems and plans for the future of the county's senior citizens. The group met at Mr. and Mrs. Verd Worthen's cabin at Panguitch Lake. Attending were Deon Alvey, county coordinator, Leah Griffin, county chairman; Ella Adair, secretary; secre-tary; and Ray Barnes, Hope Gould-ing Gould-ing and Margaret Mecham, board members. Also, Hilda Roundy, Escalante director; Faye Worthen Pangui-tchHatch Pangui-tchHatch director, Bob Rasmussen, Five County Association of Governments Gov-ernments coordinator; and Vern Kupfer, a state board member, attended. Others attending were Verd Worthen, Melvin Alvey, Rhoda Schaffer, Doran King, Afton Church, and Florence Alvey. The group enjoyed a pot luck dinner after the meeting and spent several hours enjoying a chat and the view of Panguitch Lake. |
