Show flREff OBITUARIES Earl D. Haws ESCALANTE -- Earl D. Haws, 87, died peacefully at his home in Escalante on March 19, 1991. He was born on Dec. 13, 1903 to John Franklin and Wilhelmina Smith Haws in Boulder, Utah, where he spent his early years. His marriage to Elda Barker on Feb. 18, 1925 was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Earl is survived by his wife of 66 years, Elda; two sons, Klyn B. Haws, Escalante, and Donald D. Haws, Killeen, Tex.; three daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Freland (Phyllis) Al-vey, Al-vey, Escalante, Mrs. Ray (Lois) Barney, Kaysville, and Mrs. Kendall Ken-dall (Jean) Dutton, Ephraim; one nephew, whom he raised, Jerald Haycock, Sandy; 20 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Escalante LDS Chapel on Sat. Nita Lee Henderson, 89, died March 13, 1991, at her home in Cedar City. She was born August 28, 1901, in Panguitch to John Randolph and Rhoda Worthen Lee. She married Reed Samuel Henderson, June 3, 1925, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1978. She was a member of the LDS Church and served in the Primary, Relief Society and MIA auxiliaries. She served an LDS mission with her husband the day after their marriage. She was an elementary school teacher, a member of the Business and Professional Profes-sional Women's Club and the Lady Lions of Panguitch. Survivors include one daughter, Louise Adams, one grandson, Ronald Reed Adams, and four great grandchildren all living in Cedar City. Nita Henderson reared after her sister Alba's death: Dorothy Norton, Brigham City; Lucille Kelbch, Salt Lake City; Kenneth Roberts, Boise, Ida.; and Wallace Roberts, Circleville. Funeral services were held in the Southern Utah Mortuary Chapel with interment in the Panguitch City Cemetery. |
