Boulder Students Make 72-Hour Emergency Kits BOULDER - Sue Bassett, teacher at Boulder Elementary, reports re-ports her students learned to make 72 hour emergency kits. This month's study included natural disasters and emergency preparedness pre-paredness and as the culmination, made the kits. They contain food, water, a game and moistened towel-ettes towel-ettes for cleaning. The class recently had a "Disaster Party" where they reviewed re-viewed their lessons on emergency preparedness, ate the food and then replaced it with fresh food. Those participating were: 1st grade, Nolan Lyman; 2nd grade Josh Owen; 3rd grade, Clint Lyman, Ly-man, Jennifer Davis, Beccah Van Inwagen; and 5th grade, Josh Van Inwagen, Shawn Owen, Heather Davis, and Liberty Lyman. |
