Show By Betty Wiley Among the many who attended the 1-A State Tournaments in Cedar City were Leland and Marge Robinson, Robin-son, Carol and Afton Blood, Land and Ilene Blood, Wayne and Koami Delange and many more to see Piute win second place in the State 1-A Basketball Tournaments. The Piute High School Drill Team also went to Cedar City to the 1-A State Drill Team Competition Competi-tion where they won 1st Place in the State 1-A taking 1st in three out of four parts of the competition giving them the highest score of all schools. One of the drill team was Jewel Kreitzer from Antimony. Her brother Todd came from Provo to Cedar to see her. Also all of her family plus many more from Antimony An-timony were there. Sharon Magnuson gave a baby shower for Tiffany King Gericke on Friday at her home. Calvin and Barbara Gleave and Jolene Gleave traveled to Portland, Ore., to return with Thelma Band-strom, Band-strom, sister of Margaret Gleave, so she could come and visit with Marcus Mar-cus and Margaret Gleave. Marilyn Robinson of Circleville was visiting with Berry Wiley On Monday. Eugene King and Tom King have both been on the sick list but arc improving.. Shelly Twitchell, wife of Jerry Twitchell, has moved to Cedar City for this quarter of school for Block Elementary Training and then will be able to return to our area to do her student teaching. Brad Allen has taken a job at Bryce Canyon for the summer as an equipment operator. Antimony Town has a new fire truck and has been approved for a Community Development Block Grant to build a new fire station but has not received the money yet Michelle Black started work again at Ruby's Inn where Marcia Brindley and Chantell Brindley are also cmoployed. Gloria Kreitzer will be starting next week in the gift shop there. Margaret M. Mecham spent a day visiting daughter Garnet Barton in Cedar City. Mr and Mrs Alston Shakespear made a business trip to Cedar City. |
