Show c : Ruby Moore received a telephone tele-phone call wishing her a happy birthday from grandson Jason Moore who is in Apleborn, Netherlands Neth-erlands on an LDS mission. She received a bouquet of flowers sent by Iris Bushnell, Doris Liles and Keela Mangum who are in Mobile, Ala. for a visit with Sabina Redding, Red-ding, a daughter of Doris Liles. Jim and Connie Liles of Salt Lake City took daughter Page Liles home for a visit. She has been staying here with grandmother Doris Liles. Jo Ann Goddard and Christine Shakespear of Cedar City came and visited their father Layton Smith who has been ill. Faun Goulding of Orem reports that she is fine and finishing her 101st quilt for her great grandchildren. grandchil-dren. Melvin Quilter is in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City where he had open heart surgery and is still in critical condition Rose and Verl Palmer from Page visited here with 'Kay and Laura Clark and Mary Carol IzatL Many folks from here went to the LDS Temple in St. George on Saturday. Steve Barker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Less Barker, was ordained to the office of a teacher. Kay Mar and Mary Jean Willis and family presented the program for LDS services ser-vices Sunday. Bonnie Willis and the Quinn Willis family from Capitol Reef also visited. Robert and Helen Willis made a trip to Salt Lake City for medical appointments at the Veterans Clinic. The Ken Piatt family visited in Apple Valley with the Clifford Mathews family. Ken and Artoise attended a telephone company banquet ban-quet in St. George where Ken sang several numbers with the live band. The Relief Society held their March 17 social on Wednesday with lovely decorations and dinner. The school chorus presented the program pro-gram and compliments to each of them. Thora Partner is helping at Senior Se-nior Citizen Center while Iris Bushnell is gone. Olaf Shakespear spent last weekend in Garfield Memorial Hospital Hos-pital and then wife Lyllian went with him to Provo for medical attention. at-tention. Rhoda Shafer accompanied them and will stay in Salt Lake City visiting. Delano and LaRona Callahan had daughter and son-in-law Linda and Mai Palfreman and two sons here for a visit. Al and Sandy Stone from Nevada are living here while they complete plans to purchase a home in Cannonville. Dick Goulding of Delta went to Salt Lake City and brought his parents par-ents Ken and Elsie Goulding home. They had been gone since last fall. |
