Reva and Karl Lowder Lowders Celebrate 50th Children of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder will host an open house in honor of their parents who are celebrating cele-brating their 50th wedding anniversary. anniver-sary. The party will take place at the LDS Chapel in Hatch on Friday, March 22, from 6-8 p.m. Karl Lowder married Reva Huntington Hunt-ington on Jan. 24 1941 in Hatch, Utah. To them were born five children: chil-dren: Velta Sawyer, Cedar City; Jess Lowder, Gold Hill, Ore.; Mrs. Ron (Karleta) Riggs, Panguitch; Mary Beth Bailey, Cedar City; and Mrs. Philip (Laretta) Crofts, Ordcrville. Karl is a WWII veteran and was in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He also worked as a timber cutter in the logging industry and in construction. He retired from the Garfield County Road Department. Reva has been a housewife and also worked in a sewing factory and information center. She enjoys quilting and traveling. The public is invited to attend the celebration of this couple's unity. They request no gifts. |
