Show By Marta Peterson The maintenance division at Bryce Canyon was a little low on personnel as the bugle call of the majestic elk signaled the opening of hunting season. Hope this columnist can report a successful season for Bryce Canyon's elk hunters. Adamina Morlock and Marta Peterson enjoyed a trip to St. George for a day of intensive shopping. shop-ping. The drive over Cedar Mountain Moun-tain was spectacular with the gorgeous gor-geous fall colors at their peak. Roger and Barb Parsons celebrated cele-brated their wedding anniversary with a dinner in Cedar City. Larry Humphries was a house guest at the John Morlock home. He rode his motorcycle all the way from Terlingua, Tex. to enjoy the beauty of Bryce Canyon. Dwayne Campbell and Tony Racon, fire fighters from Novato, Calif, instructed a 40-hour structural struc-tural fire school at Bryce Canyon. Richard Mclnelly from Ruby's Inn and a representative from the Bryce Canyon Lodge joined park personnel person-nel in attending this very successful success-ful training. The Jerry Cantu family enjoyed a dinner brought to their house by the park women to welcome the family to the park. This meal is a tradition at Bryce Canyon to help the new family on the day the moving mov-ing van arrives. The Charles Peterson family had a brief visit with friends, Russ and Liz Erb from San Diego, Calif. The Erbs are neighbors of Marta's parents in San Diego, where Marta grew up. |
