Show Griffin Receives Six-Month Six-Month Jail Sentence Randy Griffin, Escalante, was ordered to spend six months in the Garfield County Jail after violating terms of his probation. Griffin appeared ap-peared before Judge Don V. Tibbs Oct. 3 in Panguitch on an order to show cause on several alleged probation pro-bation violations. Griffin had been convicted in December 1990 of production of a controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to distribute, a third degree de-gree felony, and was ordered to participate par-ticipate in the state's Indian Alcohol Program. Upon successful completion of the program, he was released on probation and arrested shortly after in Salt Lake City on a theft charge. Following his recent conviction on that charge, he was ordered to appear ap-pear Friday in court in Panguitch on the probation violation charges where he admitted guilt to some and denied others. Judge Tibbs also sentenced Griffin Grif-fin on another circuit court class A misdemeanor charge. He ordered the sentence to run concurrently with Griffin's six-month jail sentence. |
