Show Cemetery Road Work Denied By Board Howard Leavitt, Cannonville cemetery board.asked the Garfield County Commission for equipment help in putting down one-quarter mile of road base and chipping and oiling the cemetery before winter. Commissioner Ton Hatch told Leavitt that the county road department depart-ment was very busy with current commitments. He said that the commission would do what it could at this time otherwise, the work would have to wait until spring. Various garbage dumps in the county came under discussion and it was noted that the dump near Panguitch Pan-guitch airport has been in use for five years and contracts need to be reviewed and rewritten. The contract for the gravel pit near Bullfrog has expired with the Division of State Lands and Forestry and has been renegotiated and signed. Wilh approximately 25 hours left to complete the Mammoth Creek Project, the counties D-7 Cat was inoperable and was also needed in Escalante. The John's Valley Road is to be chipped and sealed (7.8 miles) soon, as well as the North Shore Road at Panguitch Lake. Clem Allen and Cleo Hcnrie asked the commission to negate interest in-terest and penalties on a piece of property they had sold and on which the new owner defaulted.
